The Matthews Effects Surgeon Delay is a compact, professional grade delay designed for players who want surgical precision, deep control, and a wide palette of voices. With 8 delay modes split across EQ, Modulation, Artifact (AF), and Dual categories, the Surgeon lets you move effortlessly from pristine digital repeats to warm filtered echoes, lush motion filled ambience, glitchy textures, and complex dual delay soundscapes.
This is V2 of the pedal and every mode is powered by crystal clear digital circuitry that preserves detail and clarity while giving you total control over tone, colour, and movement. Whether you need razor sharp rhythmic repeats for tight modern playing, smooth modulated washes for ambient pads, or stacked dual delays for cinematic layering, the Surgeon adapts instantly to your style.
For tone hunters who live on a clock, you get tap tempo, tap divisions, and full MIDI control, plus presets for storing your go-to patches. Expression and ramp functionality open the door to real-time movement; perfect for swells, time jumps, feedback rises or anything you can dream up. A computer editor makes deep tweaking fast and intuitive, turning the Surgeon into a fully programmable delay workstation in pedal form.
From clean digital delay purists to ambient explorers stacking presets into infinity, the Surgeon Delay is a precision tool built to push your sound further.
This is a 'used' pedal, in our Grade 4 excellent condition, with no real signs of use, and comes with the original box, manual and candy.
